Acceptable Use Policy
Effective July 30, 2026 · Part of the Terms of Service.
Plain-language summary; not a substitute for legal review.
You agree not to use the Service, or any output from it, to do — or help anyone do — the following:
Discrimination and misrepresentation
- Discriminate against, target, or exclude anyone on the basis of a protected class, in any use of the Service.
- Publish AI output as fact without verifying it, or in a way that misrepresents a property, a price, a deadline, or your professional role.
- Paste unpublished data, sequences, structures, or material covered by a confidentiality, material-transfer, or sponsor agreement that you are not permitted to disclose, or human-subject data you have not de-identified in the manner your IRB requires.
- Present a drafted figure, statistic, or reference as verified without tracing it back to your own data and confirming that every citation resolves to a real work.
- Read a quantity off an image, gel, or blot and report it as a measurement, or use output as clinical, diagnostic, or patient-care guidance.
Unlawful and abusive use
- Violate any law, professional rule, or code of ethics that applies to your work.
- Infringe others’ rights, submit others’ personal data without authorization, or attempt to breach security, scrape, or reverse-engineer the Service.
Human review
Every output is a draft. You are responsible for having a qualified person review and approve content before it is published or relied upon. We may suspend accounts that violate this policy.
