Labs run on seats
A seat is $25 a month, and a lab buys one per person. The PI signs once and names the people, and everyone named is on it, students and postdocs included. One scientist buying alone buys one seat at the same price. A grad student or postdoc paying their own way has the Student plan at $9 a month.

What's free?
The learning. Add your email and every lesson, unlimited practice and scoring, and the builder track are yours. None of it capped. You also get 10 runs of the tool to try it on real work. Pro is for when you want the tool doing the work, unlimited.
How many free runs do I get?
Two with no account at all. A free account gets you 10 to put the tool on real work. Pro removes the cap.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. Pro billing opens soon; you cancel from your account and keep everything you learned and saved. Full billing terms show at checkout.
Who gets the student price?
Grad students and postdocs paying their own way. Nothing asks for proof, because a verification step would cost more than the difference. A lab plan already covers its students, so this is for the ones buying alone.
My PI would reimburse the Student plan. Why would the lab buy seats?
Nine reimbursed Student plans are nine separate accounts: nine playbooks nobody else in the group can see, nine sets of saved prompts that leave with the person, and a receipt each. A lab plan is one agreement. The PI names who is on it, everyone shares the group's playbooks, the lab sees who has done which area, and a new member is added in a minute. It costs $25 a person, and nobody in the group needs a card.
I am on the Student plan and my lab just signed. What happens to mine?
Your account moves onto the lab's agreement and your own subscription ends. Everything you saved comes with you. Checkout is not open yet, so today both are waitlist entries and nothing is charged for either.
What counts as the tool 'working for you'?
Running things: Prep drafting from your ask, and the bench Skills producing checkable output — a tidy table from a plate export with its row count stated, a reference check sheet with every entry marked for you to resolve, a proposed test with its assumptions and their checks, a methods draft with every missing catalog number marked [NEEDS]. And copying the packaged prompt library into your own AI.

Everyone on it gets the whole door, and the lab layer (shared playbooks, who has done which area, the disclosure dashboard) rolls out to the first labs that sign. Nobody in the group needs a card.
