Two disciplines separate deployed from durable: secrets (instrument portal and repository credentials) live in the platform's encrypted config, never in the deployed code, and every run logs somewhere you actually look, a channel, a log sheet. A nightly export job that fails silently fails for weeks, and you find out when a figure cannot be regenerated.
