/model switches brains: bigger for judgment and anything a reviewer will read, smaller for reshaping exports and extracting fields. Higher effort (how long it thinks before answering) buys depth on genuinely hard problems (which test the design actually calls for) and wastes money on easy ones. Deliberate switching is the difference between a $2 day and a $20 day with identical output.
